You found the 2010 English Camp Blog!

Ni Hao! (pronounced knee how)

This is the Chinese way of saying, "Hi!" But we're not going to be teaching Chinese, we're teaching English, which should be much easier for most of us!

My name is Curt Jones, and I coordinate the English Camp project for our organization. This year we are running three camps: One in a Kindergarten near Beijing under the leadership of James, a second near Beijing under the leadership of Tazz, and a third in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, under the leadership of Jim Heckman.

This site will be the best way for you to keep up with our team while we're in China. We will do our best to put out a new blog every couple of days or so after we leave on July 7. Hopefully we'll be able to include a few pictures and we'll also give team members an opportunity to write some of the blogs.

We do have emergency contact through our office, so if you need to make emergency contact with someone on the team, please call (215) 540-8810. The office will be able to get in touch with our team if necessary. Otherwise, if you just want to keep up with our activities, keep checking this site after July 8.

Because of the nature of security in the places we are working, we have asked all of our team members to refrain from sending or receiving any e-mails or phone calls while we are in the country. We appreciate your cooperation in this as well.

Do be thinking about us as we finish preparing over the next couple of weeks!

Thanks!
Curt
