Fangshan Update

Fang shan camp is in full swing now. We have 58 kids and their English level is pretty good. First year we have had 2 advanced classes and the surprising thing is one is full of older kids and the other has younger starting from 8. They are very excited and eager to speak to the teachers and staff and it has been a great experience for all. The Gladiator theme has been a hit and left many scrapped knees but beaming faces, each taking their turn to get cleaned up and proud of the wounds. The Chinese staff went out today to buy knee guards for tomorrow ;)

Skitts have been funny as well as the kids pause to process the meaning and discuss it for a while then laugh... and their high light ending out closing ceremony with an ice cream.... roars of happiness fill the cafeteria and once everyone has one just silence can be heard.

The group is younger and so ending and sending them to bed is easy as they are wiped out by 8:30. That has been nice for staff to have down time and prep time for the next day.

The kids are just all round cute and fun. One of the kids eager to learn memorized a phrase "me too" but forgot it's meaning so every once in a while you get random Me too's and everyone busts out laughing. It is a sweet thing to watch the older and younger kids all mixed in teams but helping each other out. We have had parents in and out and they all echo what fun their kids are having and how at home it is just them.... 1 child so it is so boring for them but here they have friends and foreigners to play with and learn from.

Keep lifting up the efforts of the team as we all peak mid way and start to get tired. Protection for health and wisdom for opportunities ;)
